History
NeueHouse was founded in 2011 in New York by Joshua Abrams, Alan Murray and James O'Reilly. The doors of its first building in New York opened in May 2013, where its founders aimed at creating a diverse community, whose members would benefit from interacting and collaborating with each other. Within this context, NeueHouse published a hardcover print publication named NeueJournal; Meryl Streep, Jake Gyllenhaal, Robin Wright, Ed Ruscha, Oscar Isaac, Frank Stella, and Mary Heilmann were photographed by Brigitte Lacombe for the first issue's seven alternative covers, while the eight cover featured Marie-Agnes Gillot, shot by Willy Vanderperre. In the summer of 2015 the company raised $25 million venture funding by Great Eagle Holdings.

Services
The main function of NeueHouse operated properties is to provide working space to small businesses and individual entrepreneurs, operating in the film, fashion, design, publishing and arts sectors. Further to that, the occupants have the opportunity for networking and social interaction with people outside their industry, through live talks and cultural programming, organized by NeueHouse. Unlike other co-working spaces, membership at NeueHouse is by invitation only and its prices range from $200-$1,500. Members include Alexandra Kerry, Chris Blackwell and Paul Bettany among others.

NeueHouse aims to expand towards Shanghai and Washington, D.C..
